New year resolutions on a birthday feel more personal than at the start of the year with the rest of the world. On May 6th, the eve of my birthday, I decided that 2026 would be the year for art 🎨🖌️. Exactly 3 months and 6 days later on August 12th, Saturn Post was launched.

Writing, drawing and reading have been some of the most consistent loves of my life for as long as I can remember. My collection of illustrated Enid Blyton hardcovers was more precious to me than boxes of candy. My little exercise book filled with coloured-pencil drawings for my 9yr old attempts at poetry still exists in my mother's leather suitcase of prized possessions, mouldy pages and all 😄.

Somewhere between adult responsibilities and years spent trying to carve out a sensible place in the world, my first loves mattered less and less.

From now on, I'd like to live in a way that makes my inner child happy and proud 🌟.
